The Weekly Stuff Podcast #100 - The Top 100 Stuff, Video Game Reviews, & Doctor Who S8E6-9
It’s time for the 100th episode of The Weekly Stuff Podcast with Jonathan Lack & Sean Chapman, a weekly audio show that explores the worlds of film, video gaming, and television. Remember to subscribe for free in iTunes by following this link!
To celebrate this landmark centennial recording of The Weekly Stuff Podcast, we do a little bit of everything we’re known for doing here on the show. We open with a Persona theme song. We review some awesome new video games – Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS and Middle Earth: Shadow of Mordor – talk about the crazy recent movie news from Marvel and DC, and even offer a countdown list, the biggest one we’ve ever done! It’s the ‘Top 100 Stuff,’ and if you’re confused as to what on earth that means, trust me – I am too. Only Sean seems to really understand it. And even he doesn’t fully understand it. But we both made ‘Top 100 Stuff’ lists, and for our main topic, we share our countdowns. At the very least, we both learned something about ourselves, and maybe you will too.
Finally, in one of our longest-lasting podcast traditions, we offer some in-depth Doctor Who reviews. After missing several weeks, we have four episodes to catch up on, and almost all of them are masterful. Between “The Caretaker,” “Kill the Moon,” “Mummy on the Orient Express,” and “Flatline,” there is a ton of Doctor Who greatness to break down – it’s one of the most compelling stretches of the show we’ve ever had to talk about.
Enjoy, and thanks for listening for 100 episodes!
