The Weekly Stuff Podcast #112 - How I Spent My Summer Vacation, Part 2: Metal Gear, Batman: Arkham Knight, & More!
It’s time for another episode of The Weekly Stuff Podcast with Jonathan Lack & Sean Chapman, a weekly audio show that explores the worlds of film, television, and video games. You can subscribe for free in iTunes by following this link.
We’re back from an unexpected summer hiatus, and continuing our discussion from yesterday’s episode with more thoughts and stories from vacations, movies, video games, and more.
Here, the bulk of the discussion is video game related, as Sean gives his final thoughts on The Witcher 3, I profess my newly discovered love for the Metal Gear Solid series – just in time for next month’s The Phantom Pain – and Sean counters with his general sense of confusion and frustration at the entire Metal Gear saga.
Sean and I are in complete agreement, however, about the absolute greatness of this summer’s Batman: Arkham Knight, and while the discussion may be a few months late, we devote the majority of this episode to analyzing one of the first truly masterful games of this current console generation. This has been one of our favorite modern series from the release of Arkham Asylum six years ago, and getting to discuss this massively satisfying conclusion to Rocksteady’s incredible trilogy was definitely a treat.
Enjoy, and come back next week, and throughout the fall to come, for what will hopefully be a much more consistent podcast release schedule. With the amount of media coming our way these next four months, we certainly won’t lack for content…
