The Weekly Stuff Podcast #405 – Halo Infinite, Xbox Series S, Guardians of the Galaxy, Persona 5 Royal & More!
It’s time for another episode of The Weekly Stuff Podcast with Jonathan Lack & Sean Chapman, a weekly audio show that explores the worlds of film, television, and video games. You can subscribe for free in Apple Podcasts or wherever you get your podcasts.
After taking last week off due to the Thanksgiving holiday, we’re back with a veritable menagerie of stuff for you this week. First up, we hit two pieces of news – the first teaser trailer for Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse (Part One) and a Bloomberg report about Sony planning a new PlayStation subscription to compete with Xbox Game Pass – before diving into a big array of game content. Sean talks about getting the Xbox Series S (which Jonathan has too), and replaying all the Halo campaigns for the first time in years. Then we review the very bad Halo Infinite multiplayer suite, and talk about how baffling it is to see the gaming press treat this predatory free-to-play mess with such kid gloves. Jonathan reviews Square Enix’s surprisingly wonderful Guardians of the Galaxy game after picking it up on Black Friday, and Sean talks about finishing Persona 5 Royal and starting to wade into Persona 5 Strikers.
Enjoy!
